According to the latest news, on Saturday, the Students of Karachi Medical and Dental College protested on the delay in MBBS exams. KMDC runs under the administration of the University of Karachi. So, According to students, the examination department of Karachi University didn’t announce any examination schedule for the MBBS.
Students claimed that it’d been more than one year, but KMDC didn’t conduct the 2019 academic year’s exams. Due to all these reasons, students got furious and staged a protest outside the Karachi Press Club.
During the protest, students raised banners with different slogans such as Justice for KMDC; we want to become doctors, not patients, etc.
KMDC Students Statements
On the talk with students of the KMDC, they stated different statements regarding the MBBS exams, such as:
- A student of MBBS 2nd years said that in the KMDC, the MBBS exams got postponed two times. Even KMDC didn’t conduct exams after the reopening of institutes on 15 September 2020. He also stated that the career of around 700 students of MBBS is at risk.
- Another student also complaint that KMDC hasn’t issued the marksheet of the last semester until now.
Under all these circumstances, the students couldn’t control and raise their voice against the KMDC and KU. they want to secure their careers and justice so that they will be able to become a doctor.
