On 21 May 2021, Education Department KPK published notification regarding the reopening of institutes from 24 May 2021. The KPK government took this decision after the meeting of NCOC on 19 May 2021. According to the notification, all public and private schools, colleges and universities in various districts will resume physical classes.
However, the Elementary and Secondary Education Department KPK and Higher Education Department KPK issued separate notifications. Both are attached below.
Districts where institutes will open
According to the issued notification, the educational institutes in the following districts will open from 24 May 2021.
- Battagran
- Bunner
- Chitral Lower
- Chitral Upper
- DI Khan
- Hangu
- Khyber
- Kohistan Lower
- Kohistan Upper
- Kolai Pallas
- Kurram
- Lakki Marwat
- Mohmand
- Malakand
- Orakzai
- Swat
- North Waziristan
- South Waziristan
- Tank
- Tor Ghar
However, all the institutes in these districts will open in a staggered way. At the same time, the institutes in the remaining districts will resume physical classes from 07 June 2021. thus, colleges and universities of those districts will take online classes.
