According to recent news, the KPK assembly took a step to limit school-going children’s bags’ weights. Regarding this KPK government also approved a bill; thus, now students will be at some ease. This bill is for all public and private schools.
Bags Max. Weight, according to Bill:
According to the passed bill in KPK assembly, the students will carry the following weight of bags according to their grades:
- Grade 01 2.4Kg
- Grade 02 2.6Kg
- For Grade 03 3Kg
- The bag’s weight of the high and higher secondary classes would not exceed 07 Kg.
Education Minister Statement:
KPK Education Minister Shahram Tarakai stated that we passed this bill for students’ physical and mental health. Thus, we are trying to convert the heavy bags into smart and smart bags.
He also said that if any public and private school did not follow the rule, the government would take strict action. They have to pay a fine up to Rs 200,000/-.
He stated that hopefully, it would be the first law on this issue to the school bags. Thus, now students will not have to carry big and heavy loads on their shoulders.
