Secretary Higher Education Punjab Iram Bukhari going to propose a matric and Intermediate annual examination in August 2021. They decided to change the examination schedule of board exams. In a recent press conference, she said that COVID-19 has badly destroyed the education system not only in Pakistan but also in many neighbouring countries. They already wasted their time on holidays and felt difficulty in completing their syllabus, therefore, the working paper has prepared to hold the Matriculation and Intermediate examinations in August instead of March. The official notification has not been received yet.

Moreover, the decision is still under consideration regarding the closing of educational institutes. There might be a possibility to shut down schools in winters as well. If the government announced the holiday, then the student can’t cover their whole syllabus at the end of February 2021. In this regard, higher education sends a plan to reschedule the annual exams.
