5% Extra Marks in Compulsory Subjects
After the inter-provincial Education Ministers meeting yesterday, the Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood held a press conference. At the conference, he announced that there would be no cancellation or postponement of the annual exams. All exams of the 11th and 9th classes will be according to the announced schedule. So, students must focus on their studies instead of wasting time.
On the other hand, he also stated that 9-12 students would get 5% extra marks in the compulsory subjects. Before this, the government announced that the marks in the compulsory subjects would be according to the elective subjects marks. Now, during the meeting, ministers decided to get 5% extra marks.
On the other hand, the minister also makes decisions regarding the schools. Thus, according to the decision, all schools across the country except Sindh will remain open staggered. However, the Sindh government will decide after reviewing the COVID-19 situation on 08 August 2021.
