According to news, the government did not finalize any date for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test 2020. A few days ago, the health ministry sent the summary to finalize the entry test date. But PM Imran Khan rejected that summary. So, now PMDC will not conduct MDCAT on the said date, 18 October 2020.
The government passed the PMC bill, and the PM advised them to forward the bill to the President. Now PM Imran Khan ordered PMC and the academic commission to decide and schedule the MDCAT 2020 by mutual discussion.
PMDC criteria:
This year, PMDC changed the admission criteria for both MDCAT and medical colleges. Those students who secured 60% marks in FSc and 33% marks in Entry test can apply for the medical colleges. This policy is different from the last year set by PMC
PMC Policy:
Last year, PMC decided the following criteria for the admissions in medical colleges. 70% marks in FSc and 60% marks in Entry Test.
So, now there is a possibility that the MDCAT policy might be changed again. Also, remember that the President did not sign on the PMC bill yet. So, it might take a long period of time to finalize this method of conducting MDCAT 2020.
