upgrade 800 Primary schools
On 04 February 2021, Punjab Education Minister talked with a news channel about primary schools’ up-gradation. During the interview, he stated that we would upgrade the 800 primary schools in Punjab into Higher schools. The government will upgrade the schools under the Insaaf Afternoon School Program.
On providing the details, he said that before this, we have already upgraded various schools under this program. He said that it has become necessary to upgrade schools to educate the children.
Reason of Upgradation
Murad Raas said that according to the data, about 70% didn’t take admissions after the 5th class. It is a considerable number of students. He also said that in the construction of new buildings for high schools, it requires a minimum 2-3 year and a lot of budgets. Thus, upgrading the primary schools is the best and feasible decision, and students will not have to take admission in any other school. He further explained that teachers who are teaching the evening classes would teach 6-8 classes.
