Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme
Recently, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, started the 1st phase of the Naya Pakistan Housing Program in Islamabad. Thus, during the 1st phase, the government will distribute around 1500 new houses and apartments to the laborers and needy citizens. Thus, through the NPHP, the citizens will get 1000 and 500 houses.
According to the news, the Housing Program’s residential area will be on the Japan Road Islamabad containing around 2560 Kanals.
The Pakistan Government started a New Pakistan Housing Program to help the citizens, especially the laborers, by providing new houses. PM Imran Khan promised the public about a housing scheme at the start; now, the government has started working on it and tries its best to make it successful. However, the government has an aim to construct around 05 million houses under the NPHP program.

If anyone wants to buy or construct a house, then he/she can get loans from any concerned bank under the Government of Pakistan. All commercial banks provide low markup finance schemes for the housing Programs.
Types of Projects
There are three parameters for the project schemes such as:
- Tier-I(Naya Pakistan Housing Development Authority, NPHDA)
- Tier-II(Non-NPHDA/Single Housing/Unit)
- Tier-IIINon-NPHDA/Single Housing/Unit)

Tier-I(Naya Pakistan Housing Development Authority, NPHDA)
Under the tier-I, the structure of the housing unit and others will be as:

About 125 square yards (05 marlas) with covered areas of up to 850 square feet
- Max. Loan Size
PKR 2.7 Million
- Max. prize of Housing Unit
PKR 3.5 Million
- Subsidy Profit/Mark up Rate
05% for the first 05 years, 07% for the next five years, and 01 years KIBOR plus 250 BPS for a period exceeding ten years
Tier-II (Non-NPHDA/Single Housing/Unit)
- Size of Housing Unit
About 125 square yards (05 marlas) with covered areas of up to 850 square feet
- Max. Loan Size
PKR 3.0 Million
- Max. prize of Housing Unit
3.5 Million Rupees
- Subsidy Profit/Mark up Rate
05% for the first 05 years, 07% for the next 05 years, and one year KIBOR plus 400 BPS for a period exceeding ten years
Tier-III (Non-NPHDA/Single Housing/Unit)
- Housing Unit Size
More than 125 square yards and about 250 square yards (10 Marla) or covered area from more than 850 to 1,100 square feet
- Max. Loan Size
PKR 5.0 Million
- Max. prize of Housing Unit
PKR 6.0 Million
- Subsidy Profit/Mark up Rate
07% for the first 05 years, 9% for the next 05 years, and 01 years KIBOR plus 400 BPS for a period exceeding ten years
Eligibility Criteria of NPHP
- All Pakistani males/females having Valid CNIC are eligible
- The candidates having a maximum of 25,000 monthly income can apply
- A candidate can get a subsidized house loan under this scheme only once.
- Age limit: 25-60 years
- For the Housing program, only one member from a family can apply.

How to Apply for the NPHP Program
For the registration for NPHP, candidates can apply through the two methods. Below are both methods; thus, you can choose anyone according to your ease.
1st Method for NPHP Registration
- Those citizens who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for the Housing Program by downloading the application form from the NADRA website. (nphp.nadra.gov.pk)
- Complete the application form carefully and pay Rs 250 registration fee to the NADRA officer.
- On submission of the form, receive the form collection recipient from NADRA and keep it carefully for further use.
2nd Method for NPHP Registration
However, you can also apply online. You have to complete the form by visiting the NADRA website. Complete it carefully and pay the registration fee through a debit card or credit card.
