Today, on 13 January 2022, Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood will chair a meeting with IPEMC at 11:00 AM. It will be the 34th IPEMC meeting in which the education ministers of all provinces will attend online. The purpose of the meeting is to make a decision about the institutes and SOPs because of the increasing cases of COVID-19 variant, OMICRON. Thus, now, all educational ministers will participate in the meeting, and the Federal education minister will announce the decision after the meeting.
However, the 34th IPEMC meeting will take about the following matters during the meeting.
- Review on the COVID situation in the country concerning educational institutes
- Inter-provincial consultation for timely provision of quality textbooks in the academic year 2022 and NOC of textbooks
- Other agendas with the permission of the chair
