On 27th August 2021, Mr Asad Umer led the National Command and Operation Center meeting following the recent Covid-19 situation. The planning & development Minister thoroughly discussed the following points with the attendants of this meeting:
- Oxygen requirement
- Daily Hospital admissions
- Critical care occupancy
Earlier, thirteen cities were implementing Non-pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs). But now, twenty-seven highly infected cities are included in the NPIs category. The Covid-19 strain in these cities is at its peak. That’s why the authorities decided to implement restrictions in particular cities. The newly introduced cities include eleven cities from Punjab, two from Sindh, GB & AJK, nine from KPK and one from ICT. The organization will implement NPIs in the cities whose list is below.

Further Points of NCOC Meeting
The remaining essential points from the NCOC meeting on 27-08-2021 are below:
- The Non-pharmaceutical Interventions will be implemented above cities from 1st September to 15th September 2021.
- All the educational institutes of Pakistan will follow the 50% attendance rule with three days of classes per week in Schools, Colleges & Universities.
- The NCOC will review their decision of NPIs implementation on 13th September 2021.
- A critical health care system will keep an eye on these cities, but NCOC will take further decisions if required.
All the concerned organizations are requested to look up to that decision and act responsibly according to the situation.
