Today, on 19 January 2022, the NCOC held a meeting and reviewed the current COVID-19 variant situation across the country. After reviewing the complete situation, NCOC announced the new NPIs/decisions for all sectors of daily life. However, NCOC issued the press release with all decisions after the consultation with federation units.
According to the latest press release, the announced decisions will be implemented from 20-31 January 2022, including the educational sectors. However, for the wedding sectors, the NPIs will be implemented till 15 February 2022.
However, below is the entire decision of NCOC for the COVID-19 situation for each sector.
NCOC Decisions for the Educational sector
NCOC and federating unit announced the following decision regarding the schools after today, 19 January 2022, Meeting.
- Under 12 years, children will come to schools will 50% attendance daily.
- Above 12years, children will come to the institutes’ will 100% attendance daily. However, they should be fully vaccinated. After 01 February 2022, the vaccination of students will be mandatory (at least one dose); otherwise, they can’t go to the institutes.
- The government will conduct the COVID test of the students accordingly to check the rate of diseases in the schools.
- The Federating unit has set a number/percentage of the cases for closing the institutes.
