NCOC to Shut Down Schools for a Week Due to Amid COVID-19


As the COVID-19 positivity rates again start rising, the National Command and Operation Center decide to shut down educational institutes for one week. However, this decision to close all public and private sector schools and colleges has not been officially announced yet. As per NCOC, they stated that after getting an accurate report from district health, education authorities, and school administrations, the provincial administrations will decide on schools closure. The new COVID-19 variant is badly hitting and spreading among the students. Therefore, NCOC might close schools in those areas or cities where coronavirus spreads quickly.

Some senior representatives share that the education system has already suffered a lot. Due to the online mode of education, students didn’t get the concept and could not obtain good marks. Earlier, in a meeting, they decided that 50% of students would attend school three days a week due to COVID-19, but the decision changed repeatedly.
