According to recent news, the All Pakistan Private College and School Association (APPSCA) President announced a protest in the province against the government. The APPSCA President, Malik Ibrar Husain, also announced to shut down the all private school and colleges as a threat. APPSCA did this against the Punjab Regulatory Authority.
In Punjab, the provincial government announced the establishment of the Punjab Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PPEIRA). The government decided to make the authority to regulate the private school and colleges of Punjab. However, the Education Minister of Punjab will lead the authority as the Chairman. The authority will consist of 11th members, including MPAs.

Punjab Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PPEIRA) will have sub-committees for the Punjab districts. The authority will perform the tasks regarding the private education institutes such as teacher qualification, salaries, registration, fees, facilities, and others.
According to the rules, if any educational institutes will not follow the PPEIRA regulation,s they will face a huge fine. In violation of the rules, Rs 200,000 fine could be charged; however, up to 10 million fine for harassment and 20 million for negligence.
