Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) published an alert notification for the students, parents, and Engineering institutes about the accredited programs. PEC advised the students to check the engineering program accreditation carefully before admission to determine whether PEC accredits the concerned program.
The Commission clarified that PEC would register only those engineers whose engineering programs will be included in the 1st/2nd schedule according to the Pakistan Engineering Council Act. Howvere, for the assistance of the candidates, the PEC has uploaded the list of accredited programs with the details of batches.
New/continued Engineering Programs within the country
- PEC has issued a list of all the new accredited engineering programs started in the country (Pakistan). To check the list, click here.
- After adding the programs of the educational institutes, the PEC expert team examines the educational quality. Only those institutes that fulfil the required standard get accreditation.
New/continued Engineering programs in Foreign Countries
- PEC will select only those students who secured 60% marks in the intermediate after Spring 2021. However, the programs of those students must be according to the PEC ACt Second schedule.
Other than this, PEC instructed the national engineering institutes to provide the detail of the enrolled students within a month of the commencement of new sessions. If any institute does not follow the instruction, PEC will disqualify the accreditation of that batch. However, for further details, see the official PEC notification below.
