According to the Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA), students can come to the school once a week. PEIRA stated that private schools would follow the SOPs properly during on-campus classes.
However, the authority permitted the schools to call in schools due to various reasons such as:
- Lack of suitable equipment for online classes.
- A lot of students are not able to understand the lesson online.
- Due to the problem in internet connectivity.
Due to these fundamental problems, PEIRA facilitates schools. Now students and teacher will come to the school for a day in a week. on that day, the teachers will assign the homework or assignments to the students.
Government Announcement
However, the government announced to close all institutes until 10 January. The government asked the institutes to conduct online classes till 24 December. While from 25 December-10 January, there will be winter holidays. So, students will come to the institutes from 11 January 2021.
However, the governments also stated that we would announce the final decision about reopening schools in January after reviewing the situation. So, in the start of January, the government will announce the conclusion after meeting the education ministers and health department.
