Pakistan Medical Association (PIMA) raised its voice against the government policies made for Postgraduate Medical Training. According to the PIMA President, there is a lack of facilities and opportunities for Postgraduate Medical Training. However, these deficiencies of facilities create uncertainty among the students of FCPS Part-I.
The PIMA President stated that if the government didn’t notice on time, we would lose many talented doctors. They might move abroad, which will not be a good thing for the country.
Further, they briefly discussed the FCPS. PIMA said that FCPS was completed into two parts. However, in the 1st part, MBBS doctors have to clear the written exam. Other than that, he also suggested converting district headquarter hospitals into teaching hospitals. However, PIMA also talked about the financial issues that the medical association faced.
