Lower MDCAT Marks for BDS

In a recent notification of the Pakistan Medical Commission, the PMC announced to lower the passing percentage for the BDS admissions. On 27 June 2022, the commission held 12th meeting in which the suggestions for reducing the MDCAT passing percentage for the dental colleges have now been approved. 

Now, those students who want admission to BDS degree have to secure 55% marks in the MDCAT. Before this, the passing percentage of MDCAT for MBBS and BDS admissions was the same. But during the 11th meeting of PMC in May 2022, the dental colleges requested the commission to lower the passing criteria for the BDS degrees.

However, the PMC has also announced the schedule for the MDCAT 2022. According to the announced schedule, the commission will conduct the MDCAT 2022 in August-September 2022.
