On 20 October 2020, Pakistan Medical Council announced to launch the digital admission system for medical and dental colleges. In a tweet, PMC stated that the online admission system would help to maintain transparency and integrity. For the admissions, students will be able to select the colleges of their own choices. Other than that, PMC also stated that for the 2021 session, PMC would handle the national admissions in private colleges.
The reason for launching the digital and automated admission system is to prevent students from troubles. Now they can apply for their desired colleges from home.
PMC Decision for Foreign Students
A few days ago, PMC made the MDCAT compulsory for international students. But now, because of the COVID-19 situation and traveling restrictions, PMC made some changes. Remember that these changes are only for the 2021 session.
Now, international students can apply for admissions based on their SAT II results. Candidates must fulfill the following requirements in the SAT II result.
- Biology 40%
- Chemistry 30%
- maths/physics 20%
- English 10%
Students must keep themselves prepared as PMC scheduled the MDCAT on 15 November 2020. This year, The National University of Medical Science (NUMS) will administer the MDCAT.
