The Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has announced the National Transfer Policy on vacant seats in 2022 for MBBS and BDS Admissions. According to the notification, PMC has opened the transfer window on vacant seats from 01 April 2022. However, the National Transfer policy is for the 1st-year. Thus, now students can transfer to any medical or dental college where vacant seats are available.

However, below are the detailed instructions for students to apply for the transfer.
- All public and Private Medical/dental colleges will allow the students to apply for transfer against the notified vacant seats with immediate effects.
- Students enrolled in medical/dental college may transfer to other colleges against the notified vacant seats in the same program and level.
- Colleges have no right to stop the students from leaving the college/or transferring to other colleges. At the same time, No college will demand the NOC for such a transfer. If any college does, it will be illegal.
- Colleges will display the list of students applying for transfer on their websites.
- The complete final list of transferred students should be notified to the authority by 30 April 2022.
- Authority will review the vacant seats announced by the colleges to check the transparency. Thus, after inspecting the transfers students’ list and any complaints from the students, the authority will notify the transfers of vacant seats
