PMC Notification Regarding Illegal Admissions
On 09 February 2021, Pakistan Medical Commission issued a notification regarding illegal activities during admissions in colleges. In the notice, PMC stated all those activities that the commission received regarding various medical and dental colleges. Thus, the commission asked the students and parents to report if they face any of the mentioned things or circumstances.
Illegal activities
The suspicious activities that PMC received regarding the admissions of some medical and dental institutes are following.
- Confirming the admission of those students who were not on the PMC merit list
- Adding the wrong record of the MDCAT Score during the preparation of the public/private merit list
- Refusing the merit list schedules issued on the merit list
- Do not conduct transparent interviews and also not inform students about interview obtained marks
- Confirm the admission of any students before the completion of the interview process
- Asking for the extra fee for admissions and additional marks in the interview
These are some complaints that PMC received, and now the commission has warned all institutes. If any colleges are found to be involved in these activities, then PMC will take strict action against them.
