Pakistan Medical Commisison (PMC) issued a notification as a public Alert for all Medical and dental Practitioners in Pakistan. The PMC advised the practitioners not to take admissions for postgraduate degrees that are not recognized/accredited by the council. So, PMC instructed the candidates to ensure that the council accredits the degree they want to enroll in.
Pakistan Medical Commission PMC also stated some rules regarding the admissions in postgraduates degree that are below.
- “The Council may subject to assessment and recommendation to the Authority, approve and recognize a postgraduate, additional, or alternative qualification offered by an intitute in pakistan.”
- “The Council may subject to assessment and recommendation to the Authority, grant recognition to a medical institution in pakistan that trains and grants or both trains and grants recognized postgraduate, additional, or alternative qualification for purposes of practice of medicine or dentistry.”

List of PMC Recognized Qualifications in Pakistan

PMC also notified that the commission would register only those postgraduate qualifications duly accreditated in terms of the law.
