The Pakistan Medical and Dental College (PMDC) allowed Islamabad students to apply for admission to Punjab’s medical and dental schools in the public sector as per the policy of last year. UHS is now allowed to get the admissions of students having domicile of Islamabad.
The UHS Lahore announced after the notification that there is no restriction on Punjab’s public sector medical and dental colleges applying for admission to students with Islamabad domicile. The UHS Lahore previously sought applications for admission from applicants who only had Punjab’s residence for open-merit seats in medical and dental colleges in the public sector.
The advertisement for the MDCAT test, however, allowed the students with the domicile of Islamabad to appear in the test. PMDC issues the letter with this notification to the UHS on Wednesday.
PMDC guided the students to begin registering online for entry to the UHS gateway to apply for admissions. PMDC guided the UHS to bring the required instant measures to fit Islamabad students against open merit seats in Punjab’s government medical and dental schools.
This action was taken on the protest of Islamabad students and PMDC took action over their statement and declared that Islamabad students can also apply for Medical colleges in Punjab.
