One of the most awaited programs every student has been waiting for a couple of years is the “Prime Minister HEC Laptop Scheme.” The Higher Education Commission HEC invites sealed bids from bidders along with a local partner or authorized laptop distributors to procure 1,00,000 laptops under Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme Phase-III. After every two years, around 2 million new citizens need employment, but it is impossible to accommodate all of them. So, instead of providing physical jobs, awarding such students with laptops is mandatory so they can start their online careers or become entrepreneurs in the coming days.
Also, the bidders should be in relevant business operations in Pakistan for the last three calendar years. The bidders shall authorize the Laptops’ Distributor/Tier-I partners of OEM or OEM itself. The bidders should be registered with Income Tax and Sales Tax Departments and on the Active Taxpayers List of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).
