He said that scholarships for Pak Rs12 billion are granted to the students in the field of science this year.
In his address at a three-day workshop “Challenges of Food Security, Nutrition and Health”, He said that efforts will be made Scholarship amount will spend on those sectors which help in reducing the import bill.
He said that the Ministry of Science and Technology budget 600% increase had been made, and the target set for the following year was 1300%.
Chaudhry Fawad said earlier government policies are responsible for lack of experts at the departments falling under the Ministry of Science and Technology, He said that requirement for hiring is 50-year experience and insufficient salary of Rs150,000. “We are changing this policy.”
He said that new herrings on the place of retired bureaucrats will be a scientific expert in the department of Ministry of Science and Technology, he also said that scientific laboratories will be set up in the country.
Fawad Chaudhary announced that Pakistan and the United Kingdom (UK) were now mutually working within the field of research.
British Professor Nicola also present in the event, he said that 1k research projects had been completed in several countries under the worldwide development program.
He also said that the UK (United Kingdom) had allocated 1.25 billion pounds for research projects under global development funds.
