Punjab Annual School Census 2020
On 27 October 2020, Punjab Program Monitoring & Implementation Unit (PMIU) issued a notification regarding the annual census 2020 of schools. The notification is for all the CEOs, DAEs, and District Monitoring Officers of Punjab. PMIU conducts the annual census of schools every year on 31 October 2020.
This year, the government decided to complete this procedure online through the School Information System (SIS). So, on 31 October 2020, all primary, elementary, higher Secondary, and Masjid Maktab have to log in to the SIS website. After the successful login, they have to submit/upload the updated data to the institutes.
The government instructed all authorities from CEOs to AEOs to visit the schools personally and check the procedure.
Census into Phases
According to the instructions, the schools will do the annual census on 31 October 2020 in 02 phases.
- Phase -I will be from 21 October 2020 to 25 October 2020. During this phase, the schools will start to enter the update the data on SIS.
- Phase-II/final phase will start from 26 October 2020 to 31 October 2020. Until 31 October, schools have to complete all the process to enter the data.
School heads Responsibilities
- Hades of schools must make sure that on 31 October, SIS has been updated. After this, SIS will not be able to use it.
- On 31 October, submit the data by clicking on the “Submit Census Form” available in the school’s census section on the SIS application.
