It is to inform you that the Punjab Cabinet approved the request to close the BA and MA Program on January 01, 2021. According to the details, the 37th meeting was conducted in the Chief Minister’s Office under Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Therefore, he came to the result to terminate the BA/MA degree programs in the first month of 2021. The Chief Minister Usman Buzdar ordered to notify all the government colleges after phasing out BA / BSc, MA / MSc programs. It is also necessary to mention that admission will also be disclosed on January 01, 2021. However, the degree college’s name is going to change in the new year and renamed as Associate Degree College. Similarly, the Post Graduate College will also rename as Graduate College.
Not only the Punjab Cabinet but also the higher Education Commission Islamabad ordered universities to end BA and MA programs. All major universities of the country have started associate degree programs in the new year. Now the Punjab government has also approved to end these programs offered in the country’s degree colleges.
