The Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB) recently started a new online system for the ease of citizens. The Driving License Issuance and Management System (DLIMS) issued the E-Driving license system. They launched this in 36 different districts of Punjab. Required Documents
The following documents are required for different types of licenses. Take a look
Learner License
- Copy of CNIC
- Rs60 ticket from any post office
- Traffic Rules and Regulations Code book from the traffic police office.
- Medical certificate from candidates if their age is above 50.
Eligibility Criteria for Learner License
- Motor Cycle/ Motor Car: 18 Years
- LTV (Rikshaw, Taxi, Tractor Commercial): 21 Years
- Note: Learner permits are issued daily with a Validity of 6 months.
Permanent License
- The application form is enclosed in a file cover.
- An original Learner Permit. The minimum duration of the permit should be six weeks.
- Medical Certificate.
- Attested passport-sized photographs (x3).
- Attested CNIC copy.
- The fee ticket is mentioned in the License Document.
- A deposit slip of Rs. 100 in any branch of Habib Bank (Account Number = 01277901547301) (only for Lahore).

How to Apply for Punjab E-Driving License
- Visit the official DLIMS Website
- Go to the download section and get the required form
- To search for the closest Licensing Centre, click the Licensing Centre tab.
- Submit the required documents.
- After 42 days of the learning period, meet the licensing authority.
- Pass the initial theoretical test.
- Finally, take the driving test and pass it.
