Boards to Revise the Exam Pattern
The educational boards in Punjab took a step to eliminate rote learning. The boards decided to change the exam pattern and format of questions. So, according to the decision, this year the exam will contain 50% logical and conceptual questions.
The reason for changing the exam pattern is various students pass the exam only by learning and memorizing without understanding the question. So, to eradicate this rote learning, from now logical questions will be present in the exam to check the students’ understanding. However, the boards also think that the from next year exam will contain 100% conceptual questions.
Thus, to make this decision successful, educational boards have started work on this. Other than that, to review the process and progress, there will be a high-level committee. However, the boards will implement it after approval from the Higher Education Department.
