4000 Staff for Public Colleges
According to recent news, the Government of Punjab decided to hire around 4000 teaching staff in Punjab Colleges. The reason is that about 800 public colleges are facing a shortage of teaching faculty. Thus, to overcome this shortage, the government will recruit candidates for lecturer, professors, associate, and assistant professor positions.
To overcome the teaching shortage, the Punjab Government hired various College Intern teachers on a contract basis. But, this step didn’t work correctly because a lot of colleges need specialized teachers. Thus, now the government will hire the teachers on a permanent basis.
However, the government handed over the hiring process to the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). Thus, PPSC will announce the College Teacher jobs soon after the approval of the chief minister.
