10% Increased Pensions in Punjab
The Finance Department, Government of Punjab, has issued a notification regarding the 10% Net pension increase for all civil pensioners. According to the notice, the Punjab Government has increased the pensions with the effect of 01 April 2022. Below, we have mentioned all categories upon which the increased 10% pensions are admissible.
- The increase in pension will be admissible for those who have retired on/after 01 April 2022.
- The increment will also be admissible to the Family pension granted under Pension-Cum-Gratuity Scheme 1954, Liblarized Pension Rules, 1977, and Compassionate Allowances.
- Pension increments sanctioned will be admissible to those Punjab Civil Pensioners residing abroad except in India and Bangladesh. They will get the payments according to the applicable rates of Exchange.
The Term NET Pensions (mentioned above) means “Pensions Being Drawn” Minus “Medical Allowances.”
According to the notification, the 10% increment in pensions will not be admissible on the special additional pensions allowed in lieu of Pre-Retirement Orderly Allowance.
