The Punjab Finance Department announced the Reduce risk allowances 2022 to all rescue staff of Punjab. The government approved granting the allowance to the rescue staff equal to one initial basic pay per month w.e.f 09 September 2022. However, the Punjab Governmnet clarified in the notification that the announced grant is for all Rescue staff of the Punjab Emergency Service Department. However, the government also mentioned the staff is not eligible for the Rescue Risk Allowance.
Punjab Rescue Risk Allowance Eligibility
The Rescue Risk Allowance 2022 is not admissible for the following officials/officers.
- Officers under suspension
- Officers who made OSDs or are directed to report to the Punjab Emergency Service Department on misconduct or indiscipline charge.
- When officers are on leave for 90 or more days, extraordinary leave, study leave, and training abroad.
- Those who are not working in Punjab Emergency Service Department
- The rescue risk allowance will not be counted towards the pension, commutation/gratuity.
