E-License System for the Registration of Private Schools
On 27 November 2020, the Punjab Government launched an e-license system for the registration of private schools. In this regard, Education Minister Murad Raas attended a press conference and gave briefings about the online registration.
Through this online system, the schools’ heads can register their schools through the online portal. The government announced that until March 2021, the heads of private schools could register their schools for free. However, if anyone wants, then he/she can deposit the online fee for the e-license.
According to the statistics, there are more than 60 thousand private schools in Punjab. So, it was necessary to make a system through which SED will have a complete database of all private schools. Until now, more than 26000 schools in the province have obtained e-license (registration) through an online system.
However, this initiative aims to make the system transparent and without the hassle of running after files. Through this system, the schools will get registration conveniently without any corruption.
