According to the recent news, the Punjab Government suggested closing educational institutes on 15 December 2021. The govt took this decision because of the heavy smog in Punjab. The smog causes a lot of respiratory disorders in the citizens. However, the govt will make the final decision regarding the closure of institutes on 09 December 2021.
In Lahore, the schools already remain closed three days a week, from Saturday to Friday. As Lahore is the most affected region because of smog, the government decided to close the school for 03 days from the last month. However, for the remaining areas, govt will announce the final decision tomorrow.
On the other hand, private schools are against the closure of schools. The Private association representative stated that we are not happy with the govt proposal.
