From the past few days, the decision regarding the closure of schools is still under consideration. The NCOC meeting was delayed again and again. The government of Punjab announced multiple decisions in this regard. There might be rumours that students below 12 years of age may attend school three days a week. However, students above 12 may attend classes all days a week. However, unvaccinated students are not allowed to attend school. The official notification regarding this will not be issued yet. As the COVID-19 positivity rates are increasing rapidly, therefore Punjab government conducts a meeting in this regard.
As per details, more than 1,000 coronavirus patients were admitted to hospitals in a day for the first time in around six months. On the other hand, the provincial education minister does not favour shutting down schools because the education system already suffered a lot in 2021. Hence the meeting regarding the closure of educational institutes will conduct today at 4:00 PM. we will share the complete details after receiving any notification from NCOC. Till then, students must keep patience and wait for the final decision
