According to the latest notification, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Shaza Fatima Khawaja announced the re-launch of the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. The government now decided to distribute laptops among different students and universities. The laptop will be distributed on a merit-based. Those who fulfill the eligibility criteria will be able to get the laptop. One good news is that the number of laptops from Balochistan students is doubled. Additionally, a 50 percent quota has been specified for women in the laptop scheme.
The main purpose of the government is to raise IT exports to USD 15 billion. With the help of these laptops, students will be able to get themselve educated. Hence, this laptop will benefit students who want to acquire an education. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif started this initiative all over Punjab. So, now, they are against starting this scheme.
