The Punjab School Education Department (SED) notified all CEOs (DEAs) about the precautions against smog. The department instructed the authorities to implement the measures in all Punjab schools. The Punjab Governmnet notified that all teachers, students, and staff would wear Face Masks during school. Other than this, the SED also instructed the authorities to make sure of all possible ways to prevent the students, teachers, and staff from the side effects of the smog. So, below is the list of all measures/SOPs for Smog.

SOPs for Smog by SED Punjab
- Wearing Face Mask during school hours
- Drinking plenty of water
- Use glasses
- Reduce outdoor activities
- No burning of waste material
- No rubbing of eyes
- Water sprinkling dusty areas/grounds
So, the department instructed the authorities to ensure and issue orders to the school head to take the smog SOPs seriously and implement them. However, the issue notification is for the Punjab Public and Private schools in Punjab.
