Queries of students and teachers regarding the cancellation of all board exams
On 7 May 2020, PM Imran Khan announced that there would be no board exams held throughout the country, and all students will promote to the next classes based on their previous exam marks. This decision taken by the government aroused many questions in the mind of teachers and students, such as:
- What decision will be taken for the 9th class as they haven’t appeared in any board exams?
- As 10th class exams had already taken, then will board announce the result of those exams or give them marks based on previous exams?
- On which formula, marks will be given to the promoted students?
- What about those students who are taking their supplementary exams?
- Those students who were failed in the 9th and 11th class, then on which basis marks will be given to them?
- Is there will be combined exams of matric and inter next year?
- Those students who were appearing in combined exams, how they will be awarded to the marks?
- If the total %age of a student is less than the required %age for the department in which they want to apply, then will he/she be able to get admission to that department?
These are questions that students want to ask about the exams, and it is great hope that these questions will be answered by the government as soon as possible as it is a matter of students’ future.
