According to the latest notification, it is to notify the Rawalpindi citizens that schools will shut down from 18th December 2021. The decision announced by the civil administration of the Rawalpindi district. However, the public holiday is on 18th December 2021. The Pakistan prepares to host a special meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Afghanistan. At the same time, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi, Mohammad Ali, also mentioned that all public and private educational institutes, offices, and organizations will remain closed on 18 December.
According to the details, OIC delegations will arrive at Noor Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi on 18 December 2021. Therefore, the purpose of closing the institute on 18th December 2021 is to avoid congestion on the roads. Pakistan will host the 17th Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) on 19 December. The CFM plenary will discuss measures to avert the impending humanitarian crisis and economic collapse of the war-torn country.
