School May Not Reopen on 11 January
After reviewing the current COVID-19 situation, there might be fewer chances of reopening school on 11 January 2021. In a recent press release, Murad Raas says that may extend school holidays. In the opening ceremony of the retirement system for teachers of the province, Murad Raas shared his thoughts regarding school closure. He said; “I want to open schools. “However, we may have to go with the option of extending the closure of schools, given the current circumstances,” added the minister.
Added more, Murad Raas says that I am also not in favor of the school closure. However, we are going to conduct a fruitful provincial meeting on 4 January in this regard. The final reopening school decision will take in this meeting. Therefore, the education ministers of all provinces, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan, will discuss the reopening of schools under the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training’s chairmanship, Mr. Shafqat Mahmood.
