SED Notification Regarding SSC/HSSC Marks
The School Education Department Punjab recently issued a notification with the complete details of SSC and HSSC marks policy 2021. The notification contains all information about how the department will assign the marks for compulsory subjects.
This year due to the COVID-19 situation, the government decided to conduct the exams of elective subjects only. Due to this, a lot of questions arise, especially about the marks policy. For example, according to which policy, the government will give the marks in compulsory subjects? So, now SED has announced through which students can get their answers.
SSC/HSSC Marks Policy 2021
- Candidates of SSC and HSSC (part-II) will appear in elective subjects only, and they have to pass all elective subjects. The average marks students will secure in elective subjects will be reflected in the compulsory subject (part-II) marks. However, the same marks will be for the SSC/HSSC part-I-related subjects.
- Those who want to reappear in the SSC/HSSC part-I exams will get the average marks obtained previously in all pass subjects of Part-I. So, they don’t need to reappear for the exams.
- For the marks improvement in SSC/HSSC part-I, candidates will appear in the elective subjects of Part-I of the corresponding degree.
- Candidates who want to appear in additional subjects of SSC/HSSC annual exams will appear in the relevant subject(s) in Part-II.
- If candidates couldn’t pass any subject of SSC /HSSC, they will lie under the compartment cases in the failing subjects.
- SSC and HSSC annual practical exams 2021 will not happen. So, the government will give 50% marks to all qualifying candidates while the other 50% will be according to theory marks.
