It is notified that Sindh High Court has rejected the request of students to delay the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT 2020) exams. Revealing the current COVID-19 situation, students thought that coronavirus is rapidly increasing throughout Pakistan. Students travel from different cities to give MDCAT test, and they felt that travel might increase the chance of spreading COVID-19. Therefore, they urge Sindh High Court SHC to postpone MDCAT exams so that we protect them from this virus. However, the Sindh High Court (SHC) does not take it seriously and refuses the request of students. He said that the MDCAT test conducted as per schedule. SHC strictly ordered students to follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) before appearing in the examination Hall. Wear a mask and bring a sanitizer to sanitize their hands. Maintain social distancing and avoid to shake hands with others.
Not only students demanded postponement of the test also many other politicians disagreed with the SHC decision. Some of the politicians, including PML-Q’s Moonis Elahi and PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz have strongly criticized this decision. Jibran Nasir, a famous politician, said that no one could stop us from conducting MDCAT exams on November 29. On Monday, the Pakistan Medical Council issued to conduct the special exam on December 13 for students who have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
