Award Marks to The Matric and Inter Students in Sindh
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the board examinations of Matriculation and Intermediate in all provinces are going to delayed, and no one can give a final decision due to the situation of these days.
By keeping the ongoing situation in mind, the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) arranged a meeting at the Board to Technical Education Karachi on Monday. The representatives of seven education boards attended the meeting in Sindh.
During the meeting, the feasibility of the conduction of exams was agreed by keeping an appropriate distance between students, and it is a considerable challenge for the Department of Education because the examination centers will have to be doubled.
It was also discussed that in the case of postponing the exams, the duration of examination would be shortened to one or one and a half hour, and paper type will be objective only.
But, if it is not possible to conduct exams, then the students of matriculation and intermediate will be award by the average marks according to their previous results with 5% grace marks.
The decision has sent for approval to the Sindh Ministry of Education, and it is expected that the final decision will be taken on this matter in the meeting of the Education Department’s Steering Committee next month.
