NSTC-19 Registration

STEM has announced the 19th National Science Talent Contest (NSTC-19) for the International Science Olympiad. STEM is an initiative of the government to promote education in Science & Technology fields. However, STEM Career Programs are a joint initiative of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and PIEAS. The candidates who will participate in the NTSC contest will get various benefits. However, the last date of Registration for NSTC-19 is 15 February 2022.

Eligibility Criteria for NSTC-19

Those students who want to participate in NSTC-19 must fulfill the following criteria.

• Students of 9th, 10th, and 11th (O-Levels/A-Levels-I) classes with 60% or more marks in Physics, Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics in the last exam.
• Those students currently enrolled in 12th Class /A- Level (Part-II) & Universitaire not eligible
• Age less than 20 years on 30 June 2023.

Equivalent Pertacges for NSTC-19

For O/A Levels Students, equivalent percentages for Grades for the NTSC-19 contest are the following

• A*= 90
• A=85
• B= 75
• C=65
• D = 55
• E= 45

NSTC-19 Screening Test Cities

For the NSTC-19, the government will make the test centers in 19 different cities. That is:

• Gujranwala
• Faisalabad
• Gujrat
• Lahore
• DI Khan
• Sukkur 
• Abbottabad
• Peshawar 
• Chitral

Benefits of NTSC-19

• The winners of the contest will get certificates and cash prizes.
• They will get the chance to represent Pakistan in the International Science Olympiad for different subjects in various countries such as:
  • International Biology Olympiad (IBO) in Russia
  • International Chemistry Olympiad (ICO) in Switzerland
  • International Physics Olympiad (IPO) in Japan
  • International Maths Olympiad (IMO) in Japan
• The olympiads team members will get enrollment for the PIEAS BS Programs without entrance examination.

How to Apply for NSTC-19

• Candidates can register themselves for NSTC-19 through the STEM Website (https://stem.edu.pk/registration). 
• Candidates gave to deposit Rs 800/- fee as processing fee.
• Applicants have to deposit the fees in bank Account # 00427991660803(Account Title: PIEASAPF) of Habib Bank Limited
• The last date: 15 February 2022
