Extra 20 Marks on Planting
Recently, the Climate Change Minister, Zartaj Gul, announced to offer extra 20 marks to the university students on planting trees. The legislation has also introduced in the parliament to award 20 marks to those students who plant 20 trees during their educational career.
During an interview, Zartaj Gul said that this unique effort aims to motivate the students to plant trees. Other than that, by this, the aim of the PM to plant 10 million trees in the country will also be fulfilled.
Regarding the 10 Million trees Tsunami Plantation Project, he said that the PM wants to conserve nature, so coming generations are able to see the beauty of safe nature. However, in this regard, youth can play an important role by taking part in this project.
However, regarding the legislation, the minister stated that legislation would make it compulsory to plant trees for university students. The university and district administrations will help the students to provide them with sites for the plantation. The minister referenced a previous project, National Cadet Corps. She said that participating students in that project got extra marks. Some like that, students participating in 20 Plants 20 Marks will be rewarded.
