Advance Summer Vacation 2020 for Government of Gilgit-Baltistan
Government of Gilgit-Baltistan issued Notification on 04-04-2020 about Advance Summer Vacation 2020 for all GB Educational Institutions.
In continuation of this department notification dated 13 March 2020, the Government of Gb is pleased to extend further the closure of all schools and colleges (both Public & Private), Universities and their Sub Campuses and Madaris, Coaching and Tuition Centers across Gilgit-Baltistan with effect from 1 April 2020 to 31 May 2020. Moreover, the Elementary Board Exams scheduled in various districts of GB are hereby postponed till 31 May 2020. The Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Educations, Islamabad, may additionally program the SSC exams in Gilgit-Baltistan Accordingly. This extension in the closure of Educational Institutions they’re going to treat as Summer Vacations. 2. The above decisions they need taken as a preventive and precautionary measure for COVID-19 on the recommendation of Health and population Department Gilgit-Baltistan within the best public interest.
The following Educational Institute remain closed till 31st May 2020.
- Private Schools.
- Private Colleges.
- Sub Campuses of all universities.
- Coaching and Tuition Centers.

The elementary board exams and Federal Board Exams 2020, they need also postponed. GB Government isn’t the first government to announce this. Before the Punjab Government, centralized, Sindh Government, Baluchistan, and KPK Government have taken this step. These Governments have postponed their concerned Board Exams too.
