On 28 May 2020, the School Education Department announced the news regarding the regulation of female SSTs and Headmistresses. About 106 Subject Specialist teachers BS-17 and 259 headmistresses have regularised, inducted in 2016.
The matter of their regulation was pending since 2019, and there were many complaints from the teachers and headmistresses. Now, the government has taken a step and appointed almost all of them permanent.
Minister of Punjab school Education, Murad Raas, also tweeted in which he also explains the regulation of SSTs and Headmistresses in Punjab. He said that 106 SSTs of Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Economics, Physical Education, Statistics, English, Urdu, and Islamiat had been appointed permanent after completing all formalities.
He also satiated that 259 headmistresses have also been regulated. The School Education Department worked continuously on these cases so that they will receive their annual increments.
