The International Theology Faculty announced a fully-funded undergraduate/graduate scholarship program in 2023 for international students willing to study in Turkey. The Purpose of the Turkey Diyanet Islamic Studies International Theology scholarship program is to contribute to the utilization of religious education for Muslim communities residing abroad. It will help enlighten their nation & its surroundings and provide education for applicants with a better understanding of the Islamic religion & civilization. The scholarship will help build cultural bridges between Turkiye and relevant societies.
The faculties of Islamic Theology consist of 3 main departments. All students must choose courses from the departments, including Islamic Studies, Philosophy and Religious Studies, and Islamic History and Art, at the undergraduate (BS) level. The deadline for submitting applications is 28th February 2023.

Turkey Diyanet Islamic Studies Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants looking forward to applying for the Turkiye Diyanet Foundation International Islamic Studies Scholarship Program must meet the following criteria.
- The citizens of Turkey are not eligible to apply for the scholarship program.
- The age of the applicant must be at most 21 years.
- Applicant must not have mental or physical health problems studying in Turkiye.
- To graduate from a high school equivalent to grade 12 in Turkiye with 70% marks or to graduate in July of the relevant year.
- No disciplinary action must be registered against the applicant.
- Not taking a break from his education for more than two years after high school.
- Applicants who were previously Turkiye Diyanet Foundation’s students while studying at any educational level can apply if their scholarship has not ended by the Foundation.
- Those who are now studying in Turkiye need help to apply for the Turkey Diyanet Islamic Studies Scholarship.
