The University of Health and Sciences agreed to conduct the Online MDCAT this year. The UHS Vice-Chancellor stated in June 2020 that if the situation didn’t get better, the university would Conduct an online test.
Now, the University of Health Sciences (UHS) and the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) agreed to conduct the online test. The VC of UET, Syed Mansoor Sarwar, visited the UHS and held a meeting with UHS VC, Staff, and faculty members. They made a joint strategy for the online test

UHS VC statement About online MDCAT
The Vice-chancellor of UHS, Dr. Javed Akram, stated that online tests are the students’ and teachers’ safety. He said that UHS would conduct the online MDCAT with the help of the UET experience. This year 80,000 students may appear in the test.
He said, for this joint strategy of online test, we will seek the approval of HEC. He further said that Punjab university is also a part of this project.

Syed Mansoor Sarwar’s statement
UET Vice-Chancellor said that this year due to COVID-19, the university will conduct the ECAT with the collaboration of Virtual University. He said that the university would do a mock test at the end of July, and we will follow the SOPs strictly. According to an estimation, about 33,000 students will appear in ECAT.

There is also news that UET has announced the ECAT date that is from 03 August to 06 August 2020. University also conducts a mock test on 27 July 2020.
UET ECAT 2020
Each year, the University of Engineering and Technology conducts the ECAT. ECAT is for those students who want to pursue their studies in the engineering field after FSc. ECAT is an MCQs based test, and MCQs are taken from the FSc books. The MCQs of ECAT from Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and English, and there will be a total of 120 MCQs.
Division of Marks
ECAT has 120 Mcqs from the FSc books, and the division of their marks is given below.
- English 10 MCQs
- Chemistry 30 MCQs
- Mathematics 30 MCQs
- Chemistry 30 MCQs
Each MCQs has four marks, and from each wrong MCQs, one mark would be deducted. (-1 negative marking).
Syllabus of ECAT
Here we will discuss the crucial topics from which MCQs could be made. Mostly, MCQs are from the FSc books, and some questions are conceptual.
- English, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics are the subjects from which MCQs are taken.
