On September 10 2020, the University of Punjab has issued a new notification regarding Schedule for Phase-Wise Reopening. The Vice-Chancellor decided to open the university in phases. So he issued three-phases in this regard. The details are as under.
Phase 1 (September 15 to October 25 2020)
- 2020: Research staff and faculty members will join university from September 15.
- 2021: D. Students will do their research and lab work w.e.f September 15, 2020, subject to the approval of the respective supervisor, HOD and the dean concerned
- 2022: M.Phil Students will do their research and lab work w.e.f September 15, 2020, subject to the approval of the respective supervisor, HOD and the dean concerned
- 2023: Online classes of all BS and MSc/ MA classes will continue till October 30 2020.
- 2024: Conduction of 1st Annual traditional exams of MA/MSc Part-II and LLB w.e.f 26-09-2020
- 2025: Conduction of traditional exams of Pharmacy and Geology w.e.f 1-10-2020
- 2026: Initialization and completion of BS/MS and MA admissions w.e.f 10-09-2020
- 2027: Start of M.phil/PhD and MS admission w.e.f 01-10-2020
- 2028: Opening of hostels of MS/M.phil/PhD students 23-09-2020
Phase-II (November 2 to December 15 2020)
- The detailed schedule is given below
- Start face to face classes of BA/ BS Programs 3rd and 7th Semester
- Online face to face classes will be offered simultaneously.
- Students are not allowed to attend a face to face classes on campus
- Those who wish to continue their online course will be granted a 50% fee waiver.
- Opening of hostels for the students as mentioned above will attend a face to face classes from 2-11-2020 to15-12-2020
Phase-III
- Check the guidelines of Phase-III given below.
- Start of face to face classes of the 1st Semester is from 16-12-2020.
- Start face to face classes of BA/ BS Programs 1st and 5th Semester
- Online face to face classes will be offered simultaneously.
- Students are not allowed to attend a face to face classes on campus
- Those who wish to continue their online class will be granted a 50% fee waiver.
- Opening of hostels for the above mentioned semester students will also start from 16-12-2020
