According to the recent news, the University of Veterinary and Animal science Lahore announced the establishment of a genomic center. The university will establish this center under the HEC Funded Project “Great Challenge Fund”.however, the genomic center will establish at the Department of Parasitology of UVAS.
However, UVAS has won the project under the title of “Tackling Food Security by Controlling Ticks and Ticks-Borne Diseases in boviners.” Thus, through this research, they will;l be able to know the importance of ticks and how they cause diseases in cattle. The university will complete this project in three years, having a cost of RS 152.3 Million.
Regarding the project, the Chairman of the Parasitology Department talked and said that this project would solve the issues of ticks and tick-borne disease. At the same time, we will also get the ays to save food in the form of milk and meat.
